The National Trust have developed a climate change map to illustrate the threat posed by climate change. The map plots locations against existing climate data and shows how potential risks could change by 2060. These risks include flooding and coastal erosion.
If there is no major change to emissions, the number of National Trust sites at high or medium risk could rise from 30% (in 2020) to 71% by 2060.
Some work is already underway, including tree planting and the use of temperature resistant plants.
