Lovely Cambridgeshie organised by Airedale Tours. We will stay at the Delta Hotel by Marriott which is situated in the town of Huntingdon. As we travel to Huntingdon we have a coffee stop at the Mill Inn in Staffordshire followed by lunch at National Trust Kedleston Hall. Kedleston is regarded as an extravagant temple to the arts. We expect to arrive at the Delta Hotel by 4pm.
The programme of events will include:
- A free day to explore Cambridge
- Ely with it’s majestic cathedral
- Anglesey Abbey (NT) – a Jacobean style house filled with history
- Houghton Mill (NT) – a working 18th century water mill
- Wimpole Estate (NT) – impressive house, acres of parkland and a rare breeds farm
- Richard 111 Visitor Centre, Leicester – lunch on our return journey in the Kings Suit
