Erdigg is a late 17th century country house, extended in the early 18th century. It has a Grade 1 listed garden and estate of 1200 acres. From the start the owners faced financial problems and by the 1970’s the house was in a state of disrepair. Despite this they retained all their possessions and today the house reflects life above and below the stairs.
The house does not have a lift but a virtual tour is available on the lower floor. NOTE: Wheelchairs and a mobility scooter are available but must be pre-booked. The courtyard is cobbled and uneven.
Refreshments are available in the Hayloft Restaurant and possibly the Tea Parlour. There are also picnic tables should you wish to bring a packed lunch.
On the way there we will stop at Cheshire Oaks for coffee (not included). If you wish to visit a specific shop it would be advisable to check the Cheshire Oaks website beforehand as it’s a big place!
Please remember to bring your NT membership cards for free entry to Erdigg. The coach will leave Churchtown, Southport, Birkdale, Ainsdale and Formby. Cost to include travel and gratuities. Further details available in our Spring magazine 2024. Postal applications only with s.a.e
